Blast From the Past!

When do you think the ad below was aired? Take a guess. The ranges featured look almost identical to the ones you would see if you strolled into an appliance store today. The woman’s outfit and hair style provide few clues though. If you guessed 1977, you would be correct.

In 1977 General Electric was the leading home appliance manufacturer. At the time, GE management’s challenge was maintaining their market lead through innovation while staying price competitive. GE was looking for ways to improve the appearance of their ranges and increase longevity, while also meeting the latest pollution standards without increasing prices. Announcing the Launch of Modean’s New Website
